Town Hall series seek to tackle opioid epidemic in state

WVLA - The Louisiana Department of Health is seeking public input on key strategies to address Louisiana’s opioid epidemic with several public meetings around the state in collaboration with local human services agencies.

The next meeting is set for Thursday, May 31 at the Tangipahoa African Amercian Heritage Museum in Hammond at noon.

The meetings are open to the public and participants are encouraged to share their thoughts, concerns and ideas about how to improve local addiction treatment services.

These meetings will give interested residents the opportunity to learn about local and statewide treatment and recovery services.
