Opioid deaths, skyrocketing medicine cost: AG Landry looks for solutions

KALB - The cost of healthcare is on the rise for Americans, and the opioid epidemic is crippling Louisiana.

Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry met with doctors at St. Francis Cabrini Hospital to discuss possible solutions to these problems.
He held a round table talk with leaders from all aspects of medicine.

One key thing he said his administration focuses on is holding drug makers accountable for their role in skyrocketing prices.

He said some of the legal action the state plans to take is against the generic drug industry.
