How to discard old pills in fight against opioids in Bossier-Caddo

Shreveport Times - Caddo and Bossier parish residents may drop unused or expired prescription pills into secure boxes at two newly established, permanent parish locales.

Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry announced Monday in Shreveport that a collaboration with local sheriffs, Blue Cross Blue Shield and the National Association of Drug Diversion Investigators had enabled his office to establish "Drug Take Back Boxes" throughout the state.

The white boxes, which resemble stand-alone post office drop-off boxes, will be in the lobby of Government Plaza, 505 Travis St. in Shreveport and at the Bossier Parish Sheriff's substation at 2510 Viking Drive in Bossier City.
